Michelle McGovern Stewart / Marketing & brand voice leader
Michelle McGovern Stewart: Sharp insight.Unexpected stories.
I lead marketing and brand voice for professional services, finding the story that matters and turning it into measurable results.
Where do we start?
See the opportunity differently.
Every organization has a story worth telling, but finding it takes more than a marketing plan. I connect business strategy, audience insight, and creative thinking to uncover what matters most, then turn it into action.
01Strategic analysis

Uncover the opportunity.
Research, audience insight, and positioning that surface the hidden opportunities, the ones that reveal what makes an organization matter.
02Narrative development

Find the story that matters.
Brand voice, messaging, and storytelling that make complex ideas meaningful and connect purpose to what audiences actually need.
03Creative reinvention

Tell it in a surprising way.
Original concepts and creative direction that turn strategic insight into ideas people can see, experience, and remember.
And once you see it?
Do something
meaningful with it.
An idea is only the beginning. Results come from what you discover and what you do with it. Each of these stories started by seeing a familiar challenge from a new angle.

01Brand voice
Not just for firefighters.
Firefighters Community Credit Union
The name said firefighters, so everyone assumed the credit union was only for them. A brand voice discovery uncovered the playfulness to prove otherwise, and that voice went on to shape everything from campaigns to branches to hiring.

02Experiential branding · 2019–2026
A different kind of proposal.
Ruhnau Clarke Architects
I traded corporate identity branding for experiential branding, and taught my team to execute it. Every proposal reflected the client's own vision back to them. Volume more than doubled, the success rate held, and no staff were added.

03Systems for professional services
Less labor, more wins.
NBS Government Finance Group
Retained to define the brand voice, make proposal development more efficient, and build a digital lead funnel.

04Narrative development
Seeing it from their side.
Ruhnau Clarke Architects
Just Imagine is a series of campus futures reports. Each one starts with a school district's toughest facilities challenge, told in the district's own words.

The thread that runs through
all of them.
I'm drawn to the questions others overlook, and to the patterns that aren't obvious at first. I combine research, strategy, and storytelling so that what we discover becomes something people can understand, feel, and act on.
It's nice to meet you.
